TreeUtah Programs
Plant a Family Tree®
September 8th through November 3rd 2007

Plant a tree together as a family, a neighborhood, a school class or a group of friends and plant a legacy!

Fall is a great time of year to plant a tree. The weather is cooler, and less stressful to a tree adapting to a new home. Plus, a fall-planted tree will have a jump on spring to help it develop its new root system -- very important for newly planted trees.

We are a proud partner in Salt Lake County's Million Tree Initiative announced this month. This is an ambitious program to plant one million trees within the county by the year 2017. To learn more please visit the million trees webpage. Through the Plant a Family Tree program every tree you purchase generates $1.00 in support of TreeUtah's planting and education programs around the state. This year four of the best nurseries in the Salt Lake Valley have teamed up with us and between September 8th and November 3rd every tree they sell will help TreeUtah continue its mission and help Salt Lake County's Million Tree Initiative.
Plant a tree with your family this fall and begin a legacy for years to come.
