Since May 1995, TreeUtah
has organized over 8,000 volunteer visits for restoration projects along
the Jordan River.
These volunteers have donated over 35,500 hours to plant and care for over
80, 000 native plant seedlings.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CONTRIBUTE!
Every 5 dollars that you give will plant and care for one native seedling
along this critically important habitat corridor.
You can also volunteer and plant the seedling with us.
WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Scientists have suggested that our migratory songbirds are like
the proverbial miner's canary -- their disappearance indicates that
our environment is in trouble. Local biologists estimate that about
200 species of birds in Utah depend on riparian habitat.
If this habitat disappears from our state, these species of birds will
also disappear.
