Snowshoe Hike at Wasatch Mountain State Park

Join us on Saturday, February 11th at 10:00am for a snowshoe hike at Wasatch Mountain State Park, where you’ll get to enjoy the beauty of Utah’s winter landscape and learn about the surrounding ecosystem.

TreeUtah and Wasatch Mountain State Park Rangers will lead the tour where you'll learn about the local trees in beautiful Midway, Utah. There is a suggested donation of $10 for the tour, which will likely end around 2pm.

We'll meet with everyone at the Wasatch Mountain State Park Visitor's Center between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM, where you can rent snowshoes and meet the TreeUtah team. Then we'll caravan up to the trailhead and snowshoe with a dichotomous tree key to identify trees and learn together along the way.

Parking is limited so please meet at the Visitor Center first and we will then carpool/drive up to the trailhead.

Please check weather conditions before you go and dress in appropriate layers: https://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/wasatch-mountain/current-conditions/

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
