Planting at Wheeler Historic Farm

Planting at Wheeler Historic Farm

Come plant trees with us on Saturday, September 13th at 9:00 am at Wheeler Historic Farm (6351 S 900 E, Murray, UT 84121).

We'll be panting the brand new Wheeler Farm Tree Walk. This project will go a long way in growing the urban canopy at the park. We can't wait to see these trees grow!

When you arrive at the planting site, look for our big green tent to make sure you're in the right place and to check in. Once everyone has arrived, we'll get started with a brief safety talk and planting demonstration. Then, we'll split into small groups and get planting.

We'll bring the trees, tools, gloves, and expertise to guide you through the process. We ask that you wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, sun protection, and enough layers to plant comfortably in the day's weather. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle.

So we know to expect you, please fill out our volunteer waiver at the link below:

Thank you in advance for helping us with this project! We are so grateful for dedicated volunteers like you.

This project was also made possible in part by you through Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks! Thank you.

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
