Tree Planting at the Nature Center at Pia Okwai

Threevolunteers begin digging a hole in a grassy field

Join us to plant trees at Tracy Aviary's Nature Center at Pia Okwai (1125 West 3300 SouthSouth Salt Lake, Utah 84119) on April 6th at 9:00 am.

We'll all be meeting at the Nature Center at 9:00 am. When everyone has arrived, we'll start with a brief safety talk and planting demonstration. Then, we'll split into small groups and get planting! We are expecting to finish by noon.

As always, we'll bring the trees, tools, soil amendments, and expertise to guide you through the planting process.

We ask that you wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, enough layers to plant comfortably in the day's weather, and sun protection. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to fill at our water station.

So we know to expect you, please fill out our Volunteer Waiver by following the link below. Thank you!

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
