TreeUtah Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice is meant to help you understand what personal data is collected, why the personal data is collected, and how you can manage your personal data. “Personal data” means information that is linked or can be reasonably linked to an identified individual or an identifiable individual. (Utah Code § 63A-19-101(24)).
I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
TreeUtah collects “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks. Personal Information includes your name, email, mailing address, mobile phone number, etc which you submit to us when you sign up for an event, make a donation, apply for a grant, etc.
- Collection of Personal Information From or Through Social Media Sites
When you interact with any TreeUtah property page or account on a social media platform, such as Facebook and Instagram, we may collect the personal information that you make available to us on that page or account including your account ID or “handle.” However, we will comply with the privacy policies of the corresponding social media platform and we will only collect and store such personal information that we are permitted to collect by these social media platforms. With your consent, we also may share information about your activities, including what you view on the Sites, with that social network’s users.

TreeUtah may collect the following personal information about you when such data is voluntarily submitted to our Sites:
- Title
- First and last name
- Email addresses
- Mailing address
- Mobile number
- Name of workplace
- Photographs while attending our events
II. PURPOSES AND USES
We collect your personal data for the purpose of:
- tracking our event attendance
- setting up future collaborations
- keeping you informed about TreeUtah events and news through regularly sent emails
- in case of emergency or incidences during TreeUtah events
- photographs are collected to document events, keep records
We use your personal data to:
- notify you about TreeUtah events
- share with you our latest TreeUtah news and updates
- let you know that your registration to an event is confirmed
- record-keeping
- set up future collaborations
- track your purchases and donation information
- communicate with you about changes to our policies
- communicate with you about your comment to a story or topic
- administer surveys
- perform statistical, demographic, and marketing analyses
- photographs are regularly shared on social media and our website and are used to promote future TreeUtah events or share events that have already happened
III. SHARING AND SELLING PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data may occasionally be shared with other governmental entities if required in accordance with governing law.
Your personal data is never sold.
