Fence Building and Tree Planting in South Salt Lake

Fence Building and Tree Planting in South Salt Lake

Come out to the Nature Center at Pia Okwai (3310 S 1100 W, South Salt Lake) on Saturday, September 27th at 9:00 am to help TreeUtah build fencing for our new native plant nursery at the center in addition to planting new trees on-site!

We're thrilled to be joining the Nature Center at Pia Okwai in creating an awesome native tree nursery. We could use your help piecing it together before we put the nursery to work in raising saplings for future planting projects!

When you arrive at the nature center, please park in the East parking lot, which is on 1100 West. When you pull up to the gate, the attendant will let you in.

We will bring all the tools necessary for the projects we'll be working on. We ask that you wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, sun protection, enough layers to plant comfortably in the day's weather, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

So we know to expect you, please fill out the TreeUtah Volunteer Waiver below:

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities.
