Planting at Hidden Hollow in Sugar House
Join us for a special restoration planting at 9:00 am on Thursday, September 26th at Ty's Garden on the Eastern edge of the Hidden Hollow Nature Preserve (1255 E 2100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84106) in Sugar House.
Ty's Garden is dedicated in memory of Dr. Ty Harrison, Emeritus Professor of Biology at Westminster College, an environmentalist, naturalist, and activist who played an essential role in devising the master plan for the Hidden Hollow Nature Preserve.
When you arrive at the planting location, look for our big green tent to check in. Once everyone has arrived, we'll get started with a brief safety talk and planting demonstration. Then, we'll split into small groups and get planting.
We will bring the plants, tools, gloves, and expertise to guide you through the planting process. We ask that you wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, enough layers to plant comfortably in the day's weather, and sun protection. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to fill at our water station.
So we know to expect you, please fill out our Volunteer Form at the link below:

This event was made possible in part by YOU through Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks. Thank you!

Everyone can help
TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
