Planting at Oxbow Park

Planting at Oxbow Park

Join us on Saturday, March 22nd at 9:00 am for our first big planting event of 2025! We'll be gathering on the East side of the Jordan River at Oxbow Park (1100 W Oxbow Rd, SLC, UT 84104). When you see our big green tent, you'll know you're in the right place.

When you arrive, check in at our tent. When everyone has arrived, we'll start with a brief safety talk and planting demonstration. Then, we'll split into small groups and get planting.

We will bring the plants, tools, gloves, soil amendments, and the expertise to guide you through the planting process. We will also have light snacks.

We ask that you wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, sun protection, and enough layers to plant comfortably in the day's weather. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to fill at our water station.

So we know to expect you, please fill out our Volunteer Waiver at the following link:

We're looking forward to planting with you!

This event was made possible in part by YOU through Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks. Thank you!

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
