Restoration Planting at Redwood Nature Area
Join us this Saturday at 9:00am to plant cottonwoods along the Jordan River at the Redwood Nature Area. This planting is part of an effort to restore the natural areas along the river and is funded in part by you through Salt Lake County Zoo, Art, & Parks and by Flood Control.
We will park at the end of Chesterfield Ave at about 2700 S then walk south along the river to the pond we're planting around here. Follow the map at the bottom of this page and look for the green TreeUtah tent and truck to find your way from parking to the site.
Please be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and clothing you can get dirty. Remember to bring your own reusable water bottle. We will have a water refill station, coffee, tea and snacks available. We recommend you check the weather forecast before you arrive.
Prior to the event, fill out our Volunteer Waiver by clicking here.

Everyone can help
TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
