EcoGarden Volunteer Day

Located next door to the Day-Riverside Library (1575 West 1000 North), TreeUtah’s EcoGarden is a community resource along the Jordan River in Rose Park that demonstrates how we can utilize trees in urban landscapes for gardening, which not only provides food but also benefits our social and natural environments. This Summer, we're looking for volunteers to assist with maintenance projects, such as watering, weeding, mulching, composting, maintainging the guilds, and picking up trash.

We will be hosting volunteer days at the EcoGarden every Tuesday until August 2nd from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Volunteers will meet at the picnic table on the South side of the Day-Riverside Library and, after a brief introduction, we'll get started on gardening projects.

For this event, volunteers should fill out our volunteer agreement by clicking here or by visiting the following link: https://treeutah.dm.networkforgood.com/forms/tree-utah-volunteer-waiver.

If you're unable to volunteer in the garden, we will also have a tool donation bin where you can donate various gardening equipment - so if you have any useable but out-of-use gardening tools around and you'd like to visit the EcoGarden, please stop by!

Everyone can help

TreeUtah is dedicated to making our events accessible to everyone. Planting trees might sound intimidating, but it’s a task anyone can help with! Our events are open to everyone across the spectrums of age, experience, and abilities. Whether you show up to lend your hands to dig holes, your eyes to ensure trees are upright, or your voice to keep us encouraged, you are welcome to plant trees with TreeUtah. If you want to plant trees with us, we will work with you to accommodate your needs and we will be happy to have you join us!
